The Romans 15:4 Project

The King of Kings, Jesus Christ!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-18)

Why Are You Here?

Why are you alive, breathing, thinking and dreaming? What is your purpose?

I was looking for the purpose of life! I was looking for a reason to care. If there is no purpose to life then why do I feel the need to be good? Why do I long to fight in a great adventure and sacrifice for the greater good? There has to be more...

There is a transcendent cause. A reason for hero's to lay down their lives.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 John 3:16)

Jesus Christ, the King of Kings!

Jesus overcame death! {Romans 6:8-10}
His perfect sacrifice has, through the grace of God, given us eternal life! {Luke 18:29-30}

Man was created in the image and likeness of God.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them (Genesis 1:27)
Man has a God that loves him.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Man has a purpose.

We are “God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance” for us (Ephesians 2:10).

We can’t “be good” enough to meet God’s perfect and Holy requirements. God’s people, the Israelites, had God’s law, God’s standard, written out for them and they still missed the mark! We can’t do it on our own through religious legalism or “being good.” (Romans 3:20)

But we have good news! God provided a way for us! Faith in Jesus Christ! (Romans 5:1)

if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
And this salvation through faith is available to all people. (Romans 11:32)

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
We that have placed our faith in Jesus Christ as our savior and Lord of our lives are called to live in community as a priesthood, the Church, (1 Peter 2:9-10), and we are called to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).

Live for Jesus, our Lord, King, and Savior!

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:11-16)

The Romans 15:4 Project Bible Knights!
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
