Bible Reading Plans

"If you believe what you like in the Gospel, and reject what you don't like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself."
—St. Augustine

It is always best to drink at the well and not from the tank. You shall find that reading the Word of God for yourselves, reading it rather than notes upon it, is the surest way of growing in grace. Drink of the unadulterated milk of the Word of God, and not of the skim milk, or the milk and water of man's word."
("How to Read the Bible" a sermon by C. H. Spurgeon)

Socialism vs Communism vs Liberty (Republican Democracy)

"ADOLF HITLER’S POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY [National Socialism] HAS BEEN SUMMED up to say: 'Society’s needs come before the individual’s needs.' History, of course, tells us how that way of thinking worked out..." (1)

"Communism stresses the importance of the political party over the person. In fact, under Joseph Stalin’s collectivization efforts in the Soviet Union during the early 1900s, peasant farmers were forced, for the benefit of the state, to give up their land and animals in order to become part of collective farms. This resulted in the starvation and death of many millions of innocent people" (1)

Advent

Advent: A holy season of the Christian church, also known as the season of Christmas.

A season of celebration of the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ, and of expectant and hopeful waiting for His return!

Adventus is the Latin word for ‘coming’, and is the exact Latin equivalent for the Greek word parousia, commonly used in reference to the Second Coming.” (1)

Socialism: Are free services really free?

Free education, free health care, steal from the rich and give to me. Free, Free, Free!!

Would FREE Education really be free?
- would teachers teach for free?
- would maintenance workers work for free?
- would land owners give land for free and developers build schools for free?

NO, of course not. So be honest, what are you really asking for?

Aren't you really asking, out of jealousy, for the government to steal what you covet from those that have more than you to give to you in the form of free education?

Do not be fooled by the false hope and idolatry of socialism!

Justice: Law is King - Lex Rex

All, whether king, president, rich, poor, famous, or commoner are accountable to the law.

When Jesus said “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s,” He was making clear that the civil government has limitations. The State is not the “be all and end all.” It cannot declare just anything to be its own. They cannot make up law as they go, nor change the immutable laws of God. The authority they have is delegated to them from God – it is not autonomously held...

00 Washington's Cruisers and the Pine Tree Flag

"The Washington Cruisers Flag was flown from seven ships outfitted by George Washington personally to aid in his attempt to drive the British from New England. These ships were sailing before the Continental Navy was formed by Congress in late 1775, making them the de facto first Navy of the United States. The idea to use this flag apparently came from Colonel Joseph Reed, an aide to General Washington." (1)
