Fear not! Overcoming Fear



Fear: to be afraid or worried.

Courage: doing something even though you know it is difficult.

Bravery: doing something even though it is difficult or dangerous.

God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”

So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?

of whom shall I be afraid?

When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you.
