Marriage: "Strong families, prosperous states"

Confirming God's design for marriage:
Strong families, prosperous states: Do healthy families affect the wealth of states?

Economics has its roots in the Greek word oikonomia, which means the “management of the household.” Yet economists across the ideological spectrum have paid little attention to the links between household family structure and the macroeconomic outcomes of nations, states, and societies. This is a major oversight because, as this report shows, shifts in marriage and family structure are important factors in states’ economic performance, including their economic growth, economic mobility, child poverty, and median family income...

Higher levels of marriage, and especially higher levels of married-parent families, are strongly associated with more economic growth, more economic mobility, less child poverty, and higher median family income at the state level in the United States...

June 6 1944
This must be D day. All through the night planes roared overhead. Wave after wave. Got up at 6am and went to chow. It is the most perfect day I have yet seen. Planes of every type and description still flying back and forth.

This has all the makings of a very exciting day. I’m hoping for my 2nd mission and a glimpse of what the invasion looks like.

Gun Control: People are Starving in Venezuela!

To:
Illinois Senators and Representatives
Illinois State Representatives and Legislators
Law Enforcement Officers.

Gun Control

As a veteran I consider my oath not mere words, but a solemn commitment and duty to both support and defend the Constitution, and I know you do too. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are what define the ideal of America.

People are Starving in Venezuela!

When a western journalist asked a Venezuelan activist “how does [the Venezuelan tyrant] retain enough support going forward to hang on to power? Where is his genuine source of support at this point?”

The answer was simple: “People with guns. That includes the military of course, which has been given enormous privileges during the last 18 years.” (1)

Do you get it? The people were disarmed through gun control, and now they are starving to death and can’t do anything about it! “Since April 2017, at least 163 pro-democracy protesters in Venezuela have been murdered by the Maduro dictatorship.” (2)

Patriot's Day - April 19, 1775

"Stand your ground; don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here."
Militia Captain John Parker, April 19th, 1775, the battle of Lexington, "the Shot Heard Round the World"

"The Lord is a God that loveth righteousness and hateth inequity, in whatever shape or character it appears. Injustice, oppression and violence (much less the shedding of innocent blood) shall not pass unnoticed by the just Governor of the world...

April: Holocaust and Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day

How depraved and evil humanity becomes when they have turned away from God and He has hardened their hearts. (Romans 1:18-32)

Israelis pause for two minutes silence at 10 a.m. in memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Nazi Holocaust.

An Appeal to Heaven

"An Appeal to Heaven"

As The Constitution Party of Illinois starts campaign season, I would like us, as prayer partners, to make a concerted effort to "appeal to heaven."

This was a slogan used on the flags of the first sea cruisers commissioned by George Washington personally before the official Continental Navy. Called the Washington's Cruisers or Pine Tree flag, it was a symbol of the dependence they put on God for their cause.

We need to depend on God as we passionately call upon His favor.

Security: Active shooter prevention and rapid response

Active shooter prevention and rapid response

1. Fight/Shoot and neutralize the threat
2. Triage/Treat the injured

An example from Dr. Kent Ingle from Southeastern University in central Florida.

the sentinel program

"Basically what the program is is it authorizes highly trained– and I have to emphasize this– it’s highly trained faculty and staff to carry concealed firearms for the sole purpose of engaging– and only engaging– an active shooter that would walk on our campus.”

132 hours of training (more than most law enforcement officers!). That sounds like a “well regulated militia” to me.

Safety and Security

"A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory comes from the LORD." Psalm 21:31

Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes." When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his own work.
Nehemiah 4:6, 11, 13-15

If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him
Exodus 22:2

Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain
is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
Proverbs 25:26

American Providence – A story of George Washington

I would like to share a story of George Washington, as told by David Barton of WallBuilders ministry, “that once appeared in virtually every student text in America, but hasn’t been seen in the last forty years.”

This story deals with George Washington when he was involved in the French and Indian War as a young man only twenty-three years of age.
